A Home for EveryBunny's Covid-19 Adoption Procedures
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through Covid-19 and do our part to keep everyone safe. As a foster based rescue, it is our priority to keep our volunteers safe as they operate out of their homes and not a rescue facility. Our board has met and determined that we can safely start reopening for adoptions in certain locations, following very strict guidelines that should minimize risk. Please read the following guidelines:
- All adoptions will be done in adoption coordinator homes which allow for six feet of social distancing at all times during the adoption process. Currently, this will only be in Coralville and Ames.
- Adopters and EveryBunny volunteers will monitor themselves and anyone they have regular contact with for any symptoms of sickness. Should any come up, they will notify the other party and reschedule the meet and greet.
- All persons involved in the adoption will wear a face mask and sanitize their hands before entering the home.
- The adoptive family will be able to come meet the rabbit in person. If the rabbit is to be a minor's pet under the supervision of an adult, that minor may come with the adult, provided they are over the age of 7 and are able to wear a mask. Video chatting with other family members is allowed and encouraged if they are not able to come in person!
